These are the boat rental options for Sweet Caroline, Pine Ridge Retreat, Beechnut Cove, Keeping It Reel, Gone Coastal, The Social House and Good Vibrations. Sweet Caroline’s homeowner pontoon is no longer available to rent. Endless Sunrise and Carried Away retain our own separate boat rental arrangements.
BEFORE ARRIVAL
Match the Boat to the House
Ask about dock depth, covered clearance, lift restrictions and the approximate boat size the property can accommodate. Water access varies by cove, season and property.
If you are renting, compare pickup location with the house before reserving. A marina that is convenient by boat may still be a long drive from the rental.
- Confirm trailer parking before towing to the home.
- Do not assume a private lift is available for guest use.
- Save the property address and dock instructions before leaving cell service.
CENTRAL FULL-SERVICE MARINA
Eaton Ferry Marina
Eaton Ferry Marina in Littleton lists a ship store, non-ethanol fuel dock, wet and dry storage, boat service, waterfront dining and a boat-rental fleet.
It is a useful hub for the central lake, but rental inventory and operating hours can change outside peak season. Reserve early and confirm pickup instructions directly.

Stonehouse Timber Lodge & Marina
Stonehouse Timber Lodge & Marina lists pontoon and fishing-boat rentals, a boat ramp, fuel, bait and tackle, slips and other marina services on the southeast side of Lake Gaston.
This may be more convenient than Eaton Ferry for homes on the eastern or southeastern lake. Confirm current fuel, launch and rental availability before driving over.

The Water Safety Council’s marina directory includes Southpointe, Washburn’s, Eaton Ferry, Stonehouse Timber Lodge, Outdoor World and Lake Gaston Resort.
Save the closest fuel dock plus one alternate before leaving the house. Do not wait until the gauge is low—the lake is long and services are spread across several counties.

AF Wake
AF Wake offers wakeboard and wakesurf lessons, coached outings, watersports charters and rentals for tubes, boards, kayaks, paddleboards and other equipment.
Lessons are available by appointment during the operating season. Reserve ahead and ask whether your group should use its boat or yours.

On-Water Assistance
Sea Tow Lake Gaston provides 24/7 on-water assistance across Lake Gaston and surrounding areas. Save the contact information before boating, especially if you are unfamiliar with the lake.
On-water assistance does not replace safe planning. Check fuel, weather, battery condition, navigation lights and required safety equipment before leaving the dock.

Plan the Ramp Before Towing
Identify the ramp closest to the rental rather than choosing one by name alone. The Lake Gaston Day Use Area has a public ramp near the dam, while commercial and public ramps serve other sections of the lake.
Confirm ramp hours, fees, trailer parking and water conditions. At the house, follow the property-specific dock and lift instructions in the guest guide.

Keep the Plan Safe and Relaxed
Check weather, daylight and local navigation conditions before leaving the dock. Assign a sober operator, carry correctly sized life jackets and review the route with everyone aboard.
Hydrilla is present in Lake Gaston. Remove plants from boats, motors and trailers before leaving so they are not spread to other waters.
