What a great house!

We had a great stay at Sunset Paradise in late July 2020. There were 13 of us, three generation ranging from 64 - 3 years old. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for us all. The kid’s sleeping room was great - allowing all our grandchildren to bunk together and make memories. The kitchen was very well stocked and organized. Lots of dishes and flatware so we were not washing dishes by hand for the next meal. The outside was great with the water toys, life jackets, steps for easy water access and deep water for jumping in off the dock. The grandkids loved fishing and each of them caught at least one!

Family Time for Christmas

Spending time with family away from the city is vital! Choosing Five Stitch Drive had everything I wanted for the Christmas vacation for my family. The older kids ages 8-16 never went without something to do. The weather was good enough for canoeing and paddle boarding. They played lots of ping pong and pool in the garage. They played nighttime capture the flag and had a great time. We went to two different parks for hikes and enjoyed the fresh air. The adults had just as much fun from horse shoes to sitting around and talking. The sleeping accommodations were fine for this large group. One more queen or king size bed would have been better, but we survived. Walking the area was good and some even skate boarded around while others walked.

Our puppy got acquainted with family and learned some tricks.

Each family chose a day to cook the meals, and one night we had a great campfire with s’mores and laughter.

Having the Christmas tree added to the week. It was beautifully set in front of the window.

If I could give a few recommendations , I’d say adding a garbage disposal, closed lid kitchen trash can, and games with all its pieces would be good to have. But, we survived without them and had a good family get together. Fifteen different personalities under one roof, there was never a dull moment.
